The Peace That Passes Understanding The Lord Himself is peace — Judges 6:24 When the world demands my hurry, When the waves crash high and wide, When the storms of life surround me And I cannot see the tide— There is One who walks beside me, Who the raging waters knows, Who whispers through the chaos, “Child, be still, here is your rest.” Not the peace the world offers, Not the calm that comes and goes, But a peace beyond all understanding, Deepest river, gentle rose.
