✝️ JOY: THE UNSHAKEABLE THING

VERSE

Nehemiah 8:10 - “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”

** Zephaniah 3:17** - “The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”

Psalm 126:5-6 - “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, shall return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.”

MEDITATE

The headlines today are heavy. War in the Middle East. Uncertainty. Fear spreading across social media.

But Joy isn’t the absence of hard things. It’s the presence of something unshakable.

Nehemiah wrote this after Jerusalem’s walls had been destroyed. After exile. After loss. And he said - the joy of the LORD is my strength. Not “my circumstances.” Not “my security.” THE JOY OF THE LORD.

Zephaniah writes something wild: God SINGS over you. Not just saved you. Not just loves you. He REJOICES over you with singing.

That’s not a distant God. That’s a Father who won’t shut up about you.

Whatever you’re carrying today - the worry, the news, the weight - lay it down. Let the unshakable thing rise up.

PRAY

Lord, in the middle of a chaotic world, let your joy be my anchor. Not blind optimism, but something deeper. Something you put in me that no headline can take. Amen.
