Evening Reflection: When Love Meets the Night

When the lights go dim, love gets real.

Tonight, we are focusing on Love — the first fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22).

When the lights go dim, love gets real.

During the day, love is easy. We can smile at strangers. We can post encouraging words on social media. We can tell people we love them.

But what happens when the sun goes down?

That is when love gets real.

When you are exhausted from the day and someone needs something from you — do you still love them?

When the worries of tomorrow start creeping in — do you trust God love enough to rest?

When you are alone with your thoughts — do you believe you are loved?

Tonight Questions

  1. Who do you need to show love to tomorrow? Not someday. Tomorrow.

  2. What would it look like to love yourself the way God loves you? (Hint: He loves you extravagantly, not conditionally.)

  3. Where do you need to receive God love tonight? Stop running. Let Him hold you.

A Prayer for Tonight

Lord, thank you for your love that never fails. Help me to love others the way you love me — sacrificially, patiently, unconditionally. When the night feels long, remind me that your love is constant. When I feel unlovable, remind me that you died for me anyway. Let your love fill my heart tonight and give me peace as I rest. In Jesus name, amen.

Rest Well

You are loved. You are seen. You are worth loving.

Goodnight. See you tomorrow.

This is part of our daily journey through the Fruits of the Spirit.
