“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7
The day is done. Whatever happened today — the wins, the struggles, the things left undone — it’s time to lay them down.
You’ve been carrying a lot. Maybe you didn’t even realize how much weight you were bearing until you stopped to breathe. The worries about tomorrow. The regrets of yesterday. The tension you hold in your shoulders without knowing why.
Tonight, release it.
Peter isn’t just giving advice — he’s reminding you of something profound: You don’t have to carry it alone. The God of the universe cares about the details of your life. The big stuff and the small stuff. The obvious anxieties and the ones you’re too embarrassed to admit.
This is what the fruit of the Spirit produces: peace. Not the peace of a vacation from life, but the peace of knowing you’re not alone in it.
As you close your eyes tonight, imagine placing each burden at His feet. The job you stress about. The relationship that’s hard. The health concerns. The future you can’t control.
They’re not yours to carry anymore.
Rest well. Tomorrow is a new day, and He’ll be there with you when you wake.
Lay it down. Breathe. Rest.
