Hope in Suffering
Romans
Why do we still suffer If we’re saved by grace? Romans 8 gives the answer That puts our doubts in place.
The Spirit helps our weakness, Intercedes with groans too deep, And all things work together For those whose souls are steep.
Not that we won’t feel pain, Not that trials won’t come, But that even in our suffering, God’s purposes hum.
So when the night feels endless, And morning seems so far, Remember: present suffering Can’t match the glory are.
Meditate on This
“The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.” — Romans 8:6
Prayer
Lord, as I close this day, help me to reflect on what it means to be dead to sin and alive to Christ. Let your Spirit guide my thoughts tomorrow. Amen.
Good night. Rest in His grace.
