VERSE
2 Corinthians 12:9 - “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
God’s strength in our struggles
Psalm 46:1 - “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Always with us
REFLECTION
We often try to be strong on our own, thinking that weakness is something to hide. But God’s perspective is completely different. When we admit our limitations, we create space for His limitless power to work through us.
Paul learned this lesson the hard way. He asked God three times to remove his “thorn in the flesh”βwhatever hardship or weakness he was facing. God’s answer wasn’t what Paul expected. Instead of removing the struggle, God promised His presence and strength would be enough.
Maybe today you’re feeling overwhelmed. Maybe you’re facing a situation where you feel completely inadequate. Take heart. Your weakness is not a problem for Godβit’s an opportunity for Him to show His strength. Grace isn’t just about forgiveness; it’s about God’s empowering presence in the midst of our struggles.
PRACTICAL APPLICATION
Today, when you feel weak or inadequate, pause and pray: “Lord, I can’t do this on my own. Your grace is enough for me.” Let that truth settle in your heart. Don’t rush to fix everything yourself. Allow God’s strength to work through your weakness. Remember, you don’t have to have it all togetherβGod’s got this, and He’s got you.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You that Your grace is sufficient for me. When I feel weak and inadequate, remind me that Your power is made perfect in my weakness. Help me to lean on You instead of trying to do it all on my own. Thank You for being my refuge and strength. In Jesus’ name, amen.
